The TO Bandits pulled off an impressive dying seconds win last night in a fast-paced 4-3 game against the B & W at the Mastercard Centre for Hockey Excellence in Etobicoke.

A combination of stellar defense, blind-but-steady goaltending, and the benching of Marcel F provided all the necessary ingredients for another Bandit triumph. Alex K and Rick P provided the scoring to ensure the Bandits' second victory of the season.

Bandits win first game of the season

The Toronto Bandits opened the season with a come from behind victory last night winning against the Plow Kings 4-3.  The Bandits scored two quick unanswered goals in the third period to take it from the PK.  The Pylons have joined the Bandits again this summer to learn how to win from the masters.  New from the Pylons this year is A Gasparini, whose presence makes a total of seven Bandits whose name ends with a vowel. (These are the important things that stand out in this writer's mind). A welcome return last night to the Bandits lineup was the ever steady play of M. Eddy on defence; the shaky, if not entertaining play of B. Lambert, newly on defence; the comforting presence of A. Graudins sitting on the bench; and A Kapassouris' cheesy stache!

Summer Bandits, make sure you sign a waiver before you hit the ice this summer. Here is a link to the  waiver. Click on the following image:

If you feel inclined, there is also an online waiver. Fill out the form  at https://www.truenorthhockey.com/pgs/registration/summer10/PlayerWaiver.aspx but do not click on the button at the top asking you to sign up for your team and pay online. All you need to do is fill out the form and wait for a confirmation email. If you don't want sign the online waiver, I will be bringing printed waivers to the first game.
